SO2R Setup at K4JA

This is the SO2R (single-op, two-radio) setup during the 2002 WPX SSB contest. It is the center two stations pulled together. Normally, these two stations are the 10/80M and 15/160M stations. By moving two feedlines (20 and 40M) behind the false wall, these two stations have full access to all antennas, all bands.

It is a fully automatic operation. The radios have auto-tune Acom amplifiers and automatic band decoders which drive the band change board. Just pick any band and you are on the correct antenna at full power. Since the Acoms are behind the wall, it is a silent operation. Writelog also has excellent two radio operation.

Visible in the picture are the 5 rotating tower controls, the 20M rotary contoller, all antenna switches from 10-80M, the Acom control boxes, the TopTen DXdoubler for switching, and Writelog in the two radio configuration.
